Positivity

As a newly pseudo-single girl, I would like to share with you some of the pluses of a life less…encumbered?

1.) Burning as many scented candles as I would like whenever I would like.

2.) Ice cream for dinner.

3.) Closet space.

4.) Electric blanket never complains about my cold feet.

5.) Bathroom counter space.

6.) Guilt-free weekend sleeping marathons.

7.) Lots of kid time.

8.) Two dogs, one lap.

9.) Parking in the middle of the garage.

10.) Knowing my future will be whatever I make it.

Feeling pretty good about things.  I’d say I’m 95% girl power with scattered bursts of bewilderment and the realization that if someone broke in here and killed me on a weekend that the kids aren’t here I wouldn’t be discovered for several days.

Remembering I didn’t like that part of living alone.

But the other stuff isn’t bad at all.

  1. Wow … I can relate. Except for me, it was eating Apple Jacks straight from the box for dinner — not so much of an ice cream girl.

Congrats on your positivity, and best of luck as you rediscover your groove! :)

It’s funny that as my parents got older and we moved out they shared a bed but expanded throughout the house to have their own space (like separate bathrooms). Funny how we start to value the ability to spread out our stuff, isn’t it?

I hope that you do find someone that you can share that ice cream for dinner with…

By the way, did you know that there is an international ice cream for breakfast day? I think it was celebrated on February 4th this year….

ice cream for dinner was my favorite for years…. knowing your future is whatever you make it puts you ahead of 95% of the people out there! it’ll be fabulous.

oh, and your savage dogs would protect you! actually, your amazing texting skills would have us there to save you in less than 20 seconds!

  4. I see you’re finding a positive spin and I’m so glad. I cherish my ‘me’ time. Just don’t become a hermit… which I sometimes think I could, but then… nah I couldn’t.

I especially liked the stretching-my-legs-out-all-over-the-bed-’cause-I-could-sleep-dead-center-and-the -covers-were-all-mine part of being single again. You’re gonna be fine. You’ve got wings.

What do you think?
