Day 62: the one where I achieve one of my pandemic goals

I cut Jack’s hair!!

So very much hair. I mean…wow.

I think it turned out OK. He was still smiling at the end of it. He went to take a shower to get all of the hair (so very much hair) off of himself, so we’ll see if he’s still smiling at the final result.

I used this thing that I bought on eBay.

I also used scissors for the top.

I also cut myself with scissors. Ouch.

This is the before.

I was not allowed to take any action shots during.

Also I was holding a comb, a clipper, and scissors. And injuring myself. So it’s probably best that I wasn’t also trying to be a photojournalist.

I am not sure I’ll be allowed to take an after – we’ll see.

I said “this is turning out better than I thought it might.” And he said, “I’m glad we are keeping the bar low.”

That means he liked it, right?

Anyway – I’ve been wanting to do that for a while and I finally did.

Yay, us!

Also, Amanda and I worked on packing up the breakfast bags for my parents’ church.

I love a good deed.

Pretty solid accomplishments for a weekday if I do say so myself.

I also went for a walk, worked, and did other normal working day things.

Tomorrow is Jack’s last day of high school classes [tiny sob].

My company offered a “free” 1/2 day of pandemic recovery vacation time so I’m taking that tomorrow (along with the other half as a vacation from pandemic half-day). So today was my Friday.

Short weeks and long weekends are my favorite.

Hope you had some satisfying accomplishments today (and minimal injuries).

Hang in there!

Update: After picture – such a handsome boy 😍
