Just Stay Home – Day 743? (Actually 14…but like, in dog years or something)

We did the game thing last night on Houseparty. It was fun but we kept losing my parents and we had a major echo situation going on with 3 of us in close proximity trying to play.

There was this sort of Apples-to-Apples thing, a trivia game (that we couldn’t figure out how to stop), and a Pictionary thing that was my favorite. We are going to try to figure out a better way to do this but will try again.

I cooked all (so many) of my sweet potatoes this morning and then froze a bunch of them.

Some are baked. Some roasted, some sautéed with butter. I was able to offload a decent volume of them but I still had 6 pounds for myself. Six. Pounds. Of. 🍠.

I also baked chocolate chip cookies, worked on my painting and convinced Jack to bake a batch of dog treats for his service project.

Dixie was happy to be a taste tester.

Speaking of my little fuzz nugget, she has decided that people don’t leave anymore. And she will NEVER be alone again. Therefore she is PISSED when her theory is tested. Bedtime is not a good time around here.

She small but channels a lot of angst.

We had a need for more paint brushes and I tried to do a drive by pick up at JoAnns but they closed at 5. Amanda drove me to get her car out in the world and it was her first time out of the house since arriving home a week and a half ago.

Since it will be 2 weeks on Tuesday since she has been around anyone but with us and her Dad, we have 2 more days before we can declare her safe.

Come on Tuesday.

Jack got instructions today for online school starting tomorrow. I am happy for him to have something to do.

We are getting take out Tacos for dinner tonight – Taco Sunday (we usually do Taco Thursday but times are weird and we must adapt.)

137 cases in Chester County. 5 in my township. Hoping our stay at home efforts start to flatten that curve. 🤞

Stay home, my friends. Your couch is calling you.

Hang in there.
