All About Me – Part One

I’ve been told I should write more, yet topics escape me.

In order to get my fingers warmed up (and possibly my brain) I found a series of 100 questions that will allow me to focus on a me-centered universe where people only care what I have to say about me. Woo – me!

Because there are 100 and not even I want to talk about myself for 100 questions IN A ROW I am going to break this into groups of 10.  That’s 10 posts right there, all focused on the gloriousness that is me.  Are you excited?

OF COURSE YOU ARE.

So without further ado – let’s get this party started.

1) What images do you have set for your desktop/cell phone wallpapers?

All of them are currently my adorable children (as they should be, right?) My phone is a picture from Christmas this year that highlights exactly how enormous my tiny baby son has become. My work computer is a picture from a couple of summers ago when we rode bikes and they complained the whole time about how hot/buggy/smelly/exhausting it all was. Good times. My personal computer is a picture from an old birthday party where they are wearing hats covered with shaving cream and cheese curls (obviously).  And my ancient desktop computer is a picture from New Year’s Eve 2007.  I might be a little obsessed with those kids ❤️.

2) Have you ever had a crush on a teacher?

Not a crush, no.  But I have to say when our high school shop teacher was killed in a car crash I was unreasonably devastated.

3) What was your last text message?

“I’m back 😍”

4) What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

Given that I suck at future planning, I am not sure I am qualified to answer this question. Hopefully I’ll be hanging out with my fella in a smaller, but awesome, cozy home with frequent visits from our brood of amazing kids. If I’m lucky I will be doing work that doesn’t make me want to hide under a blanket. I tend to be fairly lucky so I’m optimistic.

5) If you could be anywhere else right now, where would you be?

Right now? Um. I’d rather be someplace not looking at a computer.  I don’t think I’d want to be a different place at the moment – although vacations are always a good thing. And date nights. And manicures…

6) What was your coolest Halloween costume?

My coolest costume coincided with my worst Halloween Trick-or-Treating experience.

I was half (the front half, thankyouverymuch) of a horse.  We made the head out of paper mache over a flower pot/balloon combo and there was a little hole in the front for me to look through (think tracheotomy).  My cousin was the other (back) half, but also the “rider” of the horse, and as such was provided with reins that were tied to the “head.”

We looked ah-mazing.

But she also thought it was SUPER funny to yell out “WOAH” and pull the reins…especially as we approached the top of each flight of stairs to claim our treats. Just in case you were wondering, it is very hard to concentrate on procuring treats when your head is in a paper mache flower pot and being violently yanked backwards, especially if you are trying extremely hard not to fall down a flight of stairs.

7) What was your favorite 90s show?

I’d have to say Friends. I always wanted to have that kind of group dynamic going on (without the hooking up with other people’s brothers – that’s just weird.)

8) Who was your last kiss?

I assume this means “most recent” and not “last ever in your life.” I’m assuming there are lots more to come. I smooched my fella this morning and also laid a couple on the kiddos at various points during the day.

9) Have you ever been stood up?

Surely yes. But not recently.

10) Favorite ice cream flavor?

Vanilla with a peanut butter swirl. Although I do like Cookies & Cream. And the farm nearby makes a really good Tiramisu. All ice cream is really my favorite.

I’ll be back with 11-20 soon 👍🏻
