Black Out

I bought this book approximately 18 years ago while living in Chicago (which is borderline unbelievable):

For approximately 18 years I have used it as a place to sit the enormous glass of water that I take to bed at night. It has been spilled upon several times each of those years.

It is surprisingly absorbent.

I have never opened it and read it. For this assignment I was supposed to use an old book and this one seemed like a likely candidate.

I still haven’t read it – and now a bunch of the words are blacked out and it’s down a page.

I hope it still works as a coaster.
